*Five* inkjet-printed note cards (blank inside) with *five* different cyanotype cloud designs (three shown plus two others: one rainy, one just…cloudy) plus 5 sweetly fitting white envelopes, snugged together in a belly band with a GLV sticker, mailed to you in a humbly fabulous brown paper envelope. Includes provenance card with an image of the artist working and the following text:

These sweet images started almost exactly eight years ago on the black sand beaches of the mystical Waipi’o Valley in Hawaii. Using paper specially treated to make it sensitive to UV light, I rested a small *sea sponge in the center of the page and let the sun capture its impression. I stopped the exposure by rinsing the paper with water from the Pacific ocean, essentially using the sun and the ocean to create a cloud and sky.

I made close to 50 of these cyanotypes that day, each unique. I liked them, but they didn’t feel complete so they’ve been stored in a box until just this month when I sketched a cloud character for another project (more on that soon!) and realized adding features to the sun prints would somehow make them feel even more cloud-like. I totally love the resulting images and am so happy they’re making their way out to the world and into your home.
